What happens to a find after you log it
Logging a find is the easy part. What follows is the part worth understanding: Itaobuy buys it, the warehouse receives and photographs it, you decide whether it is what the listing claimed, and eventually it goes out with whatever else you have accumulated. Below is that whole path, with the point at which each decision is actually yours to make.
← Back to overviewLogged, then handled
Log it, buy it, verify it, hold it, ship it. The verify and hold steps are where a find either turns out to be good or turns out to be a lesson.
- Log itrecorded with when it was found and where it came from
- Buy itItaobuy purchases on your behalf once you confirm the variant
- Verify itwarehouse photographs, your chance to check the find is real
- Ship itconsolidate, choose a line, pay freight on measured weight
Timings below are Itaobuy's published figures. Your order page is the record.
Turning a log entry into an order
Four moves take a find from the board to a paid Itaobuy order.
Prices move. Confirm the row still matches what the seller is asking.
Size, colourway and quantity are fixed the moment you submit.
Seller price and domestic leg; freight waits until the parcel exists.
First the domestic tracking, then the warehouse scan, then photos.
Nine stages, each visible
Nine stages make up the record, and each one is timestamped in your account.

Where a find gets verified
About two days after dispatch the item is scanned in, and it is inspected within another day. It then sits on the warehouse page free, giving you time to read the provenance notes before anything gets consolidated.
Entered into the provenance log before the carton is cut.
Images posted so you can record what actually turned up.
No charge while you decide what else to add.
You choose what travels together and when.
Sending what you have found
Three moves take finds off the shelf and into transit.
- 1. Choose contents
Decide what leaves now and what waits.
- 2. Choose the line
Price, transit time and accepted cargo are the three axes.
- 3. Declare and pay
You set the declared value; freight uses chargeable weight.
- 4. Track
Tracking begins at the carrier scan, about a day after submission.
Packing and release follow submission, with tracking appearing on your parcel page. The freight figure depends on measured weight, the method and the destination, so allow for a small drift; the balance is corrected afterwards.
