Customs

Declared value: the boring field that matters

Customs assesses the declared value, not the price you hope it was. Declaring something is sometimes presented as a trick, but it creates a real problem at import and can leave a parcel stuck.

Look up your destination threshold before dispatch. Below it, most parcels pass without assessment; above it, duty is due whoever declares what.

Apparel finds now carry a grams-per-metre figure

Why fabric weight belongs in a provenance note

Expansion

New apparel rows went up this month recording grams per square metre, because weight is part of what tells you whether two listings at the same price are the same garment.

Inspection limits set down in plain words

What the inspection record does and does not say

Revision

The inspection section now states its boundary: colour, visible defects, the size tag, stitching and whether the item matches your notes. Smell, hand feel and long-term wear are not recorded.

Every entry is dated. Prices, routes and policies are set on Itaobuy's own pages.
